BINAEBI BOZIMO, 2 YEAR 'A' LEVEL STUDENT

Studying at Abacus College was a wonderful experience. I
would say my two years spent in Abacus College were not only interesting and
quite exciting but also very challenging and productive. My Principal and
teachers somehow managed to bring out talents and strengths in me, which I
never knew existed. They were always very supportive and made me believe in
myself, giving me the feeling that I could do anything I set my mind to.
The teachers there are very dedicated to both their
teaching and their students, and go to great lengths to ensure that each
student is as comfortable with and following their course/ subjects as well
as possible.
Abacus College is overall a great school with great
teachers and a very conducive teaching and learning environment. I could not
have chosen a better place to spend the past two years of my life.
ARIO EMAMINEJAD

I joined Abacus College to do an A Level Course in Physics, Mathematics
and Further Mathematics. I have been very pleased to gain three A grades in
the A Level exams which I took in June 2002 and to secure a place to start
my degree course at Imperial College, London. I was very lucky to score one
of the top five marks out of all the candidates who sat the AQA Board
examination in Mathematics and Statistics.
I think that one of the big advantages of studying in Abacus College has
been the friendly supportive attitude of all the staff – the Principals, the
Welfare Officer and my tutors, who were interested in me and in my future
and gave me all the help I needed. The teaching was very good and we all had
a lot of individual attention.
Oxford is a great city to study in. It’s interesting and quite quiet and so
you can study – but there are many places for sports and entertainment and
lots of other students to meet. At Abacus we had students of many
nationalities and I made good friends in the college. I stayed with a host
family who had a lovely, big house and looked after five students. We all
had our own large rooms and mealtimes were lively and fun. And the food was
good!
