Academic

Abacus College offers a range of courses providing students with a choice of routes to university. The college will advise on the course most suited to each student’s age and qualifications. Because the college is small, the senior staff know all the students personally and help them in choosing their courses, in drafting their applications to university, and in making long-term career plans.

Courses Offered

Students may enter the college at any stage in the English education system from Year 9 to Year 13, depending on qualifications, or after high school graduation for the Abacus University Foundation Programme.

Entry to Universities in the UK

Entry to universities in the UK is competitive and Abacus College provides a comprehensive UCAS (University and Colleges Admissions Service) advisory service, which aims to help students gain entrance to the universities and courses most suited to their needs.

The Vice Principal advises students on their university applications and helps them complete their UCAS application form, guiding them through the various stages in the process. On the UCAS form the students need to record their choices of universities and courses as well as a statement about themselves, their background, academic achievements and interests.

English Language Courses

Abacus College’s partner college, Oxford Language Centre, offers an essential support for those students who wish to improve their knowledge of the English Language.

What really distinguishes Abacus College from other schools and colleges are the excellent teaching staff who are all graduates of top universities in Britain.
